1.Start by making a palette of the colors you are
going to use
(The Palette for the sample image is posted below).
2.Lay down the basic form that you want the hair to take.
I use a mid tone
with a little transparency
3. Then use either a 1 pixel
brush or a multi pixel one to create some
darker streaks.
4. Using a
1 pixel brush, use a really light color to bring out
the
highlights
5.Use the smudge tool to blend it all together and
then more light
and dark strokes to define the strands even
further.
6. Sometimes I will up the contrast or saturation if I'm not
totaly happy
with the colors.
